Charles Mole Jr., immediate past district director of Toastmasters International District 49, has named Nelson Nakagawa as recipient of the “Toastmaster of the Year” award at the Fall Conference, which was held at Hilton Hawaiian Village. Nakagawa is a member of the Nuuanu Toastmasters Club and serves as district contest chairman for District 49 Toastmasters.
Hawaii State Federal Credit Union has announced the promotions of key executives in its consumer and mortgage lending division:
>> Victor Brock to senior vice president of consumer and mortgage lending from vice president. While with Hawaii State FCU for four years, Brock spearheaded several new loan products and programs. He also has nearly 30 years of financial services experience, including executive positions at Central Pacific Bank and Bank of America.
>> Steven Ohata to assistant vice president of consumer loan operations. Prior to joining the credit union as a consumer loan operations manager three years ago, Ohata was a loan vice president at Hickam Federal Credit Union.
>> Mihe Muraoka to assistant vice president of mortgage loan operations. She was previously a mortgage loan operations manager for the Hawaii State FCU and also served as operations manager for five years at CU Network Services, a mortgage Credit Union Service Organization for the Hawaii Central Federal Credit Union.
