The Hawaii Pacific men’s basketball team moved up one spot to sixth in the NABC Division II poll on Tuesday.
HPU (19-1, 11-1 PacWest) is on a seven-game winning streak after defeating BYU-Hawaii last Thursday. The team’s ranking is the program’s highest since becoming a member of Division II.
HPU is one of two ranked teams from the PacWest. California Baptist (20-1, 12-1) was fourth in Tuesday’s poll. HPU will travel to California Baptist on Thursday in a game that will determine the outright lead in the conference.
In the D2SIDA poll, which is determined by the media, HPU came in at 19th. California Baptist was third.
