“I’m super proud of our resiliency. We didn’t always play our best, but we always remained confident,” SandBows coach Jeff Hall said. “I’m especially proud of our two freshmen (Morgan Martin and Amy Ozee) and one newcomer (UCLA transfer Laurel Weaver). They played awesome. It’s not easy not knowing what you’re getting into.
“It was a fun day in Arizona, highlighted by two good wins. I’m happy for the girls and how they battled.”
Hawaii’s lone loss came at No. 4 when Ozee and Hi’ilawe Huddleston fell to Kassidy Picrell-Katelyn Carball 21-17, 16-21, 15-11.
