1. Maybe it’s because I’m a millennial that I am so attracted to the Pineapple Elyx-ir cocktail at the Fish House in the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina. Served in a copper cup shaped like a pineapple, it’s made with Absolut Elyx vodka, pineapple, hibiscus flower syrup, pomegranate juice and house-made bitters topped with Champagne. The unique cocktail is picture-perfect for selfies, with a pristine ocean view as your backdrop. This social-media-approved cocktail is $12 (half the regular price) during happy hour, from 3 to 5 p.m. daily. Call 679-0079.

2. I accidentally hit the scan button on my car radio and discovered that 107.5 FM had switched from K-pop to country music with a new brand, Nash Icon 107.5. No offense to K-pop, but I spent my tween years in a part of the mainland where radio stations played country, Top 40, pop and soul music, and I’ve enjoyed all those genres ever since. Finding a new country music station here was a delightful discovery.
The station, also known as “Hawaii’s Nashville Connection,” switched Jan. 1 to a mix of current country hits and classics from the last 30 years. Be patient and you’ll hear George Jones (“He Stopped Loving Her Today”), Dolly Parton (“I Will Always Love You”) and the Judds (“Have Mercy”), among others. George Strait’s 1993 anthem, “Heartland,” a celebration of American values and country music, never gets old.

3. My love for sparkly things attracted me to Eileen Tokita’s blingy Clipa purse hangers. Tokita uses Swarovski crystals to dress up the clips, which can hold up to 33 pounds. You can even wear them as a bejeweled bracelet until needed as a purse hanger. I found the clips for $95 at the Halekulani boutique and at Ginger’s at the Kahala in the Kahala Hotel & Resort.
Tokita will host classes on how to decorate the clips today, March 26 and April 9, 23 and 30 at Learning Unlimited, 1210 Wilhelmina Rise in Kaimuki. Cost of the class is $59, which includes supplies. Email eileentokita@gmail.com or call 728-9477.

4. Want eyebrows that are on fleek? (That’s slang for perfectly groomed.) Look no further than your neighborhood drugstore. The NYX Micro Brow Pencil, which sports a fine-point crayon on one end and a miniature brow brush on the other, is one of my favorite makeup tools. I learned of the product from an enthusiastic stranger in Longs Drugs, and now I too am singing its praises. With a formula similar to those offered by higher-priced brands, NYX comes in a variety of shades for just $9.99 at Longs.

5. It’s just a bit of silliness, but as my 4-inch BB-8 droid rolls around the house, its head magnetically balanced on its little ball body, it makes me smile. The app-controlled gizmo from Sphero is not nearly as useful as its “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” counterpart, but it can spout robotic gibberish when I talk to it or respond sympathetically on cue when the movie is playing on TV. It can even record and relay messages, but really the most fun comes from simply rolling him around the room via smartphone remote control. Charge it via USB-connected charging base. Buy the $129.99 droid at sphero.com/starwars.
