Haloa Dudoit, Bailey Collins and Chris Martin each drove in two runs as Concordia defeated Hawaii Pacific 8-3 in a Pacific West Conference baseball game Sunday in Irvine, Calif.
The Sharks (14-19, 4-17) rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh to get within a run, but the Eagles (16-15, 13-6) pulled away with four runs in the bottom of the eighth.
HPU has now lost 11 straight on the mainland and looks to end that slide against Concordia today at noon.
HPU softball team splits at TOC
On the final day of the City of Turlock Tournament of Champions in Turlock, Calif., Hawaii Pacific recorded a split.
In the first game, Emiliee Leonard hit a home run and Sienna Santiago drove in two runs as the Sharks defeated Cal State East Bay (20-15) 5-3. In the second game, HPU could only muster four hits against 15th-ranked Cal State Monterey Bay (29-4) and fell 6-1.
Hawaii Pacific (18-16) returns home to Okita Field for a 1 p.m. PacWest doubleheader Friday against Brigham Young-Hawaii.
