Museum honors Doolittle Raiders


    A ship’s bell from the aircraft carrier USS Hornet, which launched the famed Doolittle Raiders 75 years ago, is currently on display at the Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor. The museum’s B-25 bomber Doolittle exhibit is in the background.

Seventy-five years ago Pearl Harbor was still recovering from the surprise attack that had occurred four months earlier — the sunken hulks of the Arizona, Oklahoma and Utah still lying where they had been torn apart by torpedoes and bombs. Read more
