A 13-year-old boy was airlifted out of Manoa Falls on Sunday after sustaining multiple injuries in a fall.
The boy fell 30 feet at the falls and initially received care from bystanders.
Honolulu fire crews who hiked into Manoa Valley arrived at the patient’s side near the base of the falls about 27 minutes after receiving the emergency call at 3:59 p.m., spokesman Capt. David Jenkins said.
Fire units treated the boy’s injuries and airlifted him to awaiting Honolulu Emergency Medical Services personnel.
