Two top Hawaii high school football players in college decided to transfer in the offseason and have announced their new schools.
Former Clemson defensive lineman Scott Pagano, who won a national title last season, will play at Oregon next season as a graduate transfer.
The 2013 Moanalua alumnus, who is 6-foot-3 and 295 pounds, made 31 tackles, with 41/2 for loss and two sacks in 12 games last season. Pagano started four of those games and participated in 299 snaps despite missing the final three games of the regular season with a foot injury.
He made two tackles in the Fiesta Bowl win over Ohio State and two more in the national title game against Alabama.
Also, defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko, a 2015 Farrington alumnus, will transfer from Texas Tech, where he started each of his first two seasons, to LSU.
Fehoko announced the decision Monday and will have to sit out the upcoming season. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Fehoko chose LSU over Auburn, Louisville, Ole Miss and Georgia.
He started all 25 games in two years at Texas Tech and made 38 tackles, with 71/2 tackles for loss and two sacks.
