The University of Hawaii women’s tennis team completed an undefeated Big West regular season with a 4-0 win over Cal State Fullerton on Sunday in Fullerton, Calif.
The Rainbow Wahine previously clinched at least a share of the regular-season title and claimed its first Big West crown outright with Sunday’s sweep. UH (14-6, 8-0 Big West) will be the top seed in the conference tournament, which runs Thursday to Sunday in Indian Wells, Calif. The Wahine face UC Irvine or UC Riverside in the quarterfinals Friday.
UH’s Petra Melounova and Roxanne Resma, ranked 68th nationally in doubles, and Cindy Nguyen and Klara Pribylova gave UH the doubles point in Sunday’s regular-season finale. Marina Hruba, Nikola Dolakova and Michelle Pitts won their singles matches in straight sets to close out the win over the Titans (18-3, 5-3).

UH (2-14, 1-4 BWC) claimed the doubles point and Igor Kolaric, Felix Albert, Fabian Woehrl and Marcel Chan picked up singles wins.
UH will be the fifth seed in the Big West tournament and faces UC Irvine on Thursday.
Leung 2 strokes off lead in Big West golf
The University of Hawaii’s Izzy Leung shot an even-par 72 and is two strokes off the lead after Sunday’s first round of the Big West Conference women’s golf championship in Riverside, Calif.
UC Riverside’s Jakeishya Le leads at 2-under 70 at Oak Quarry Golf Club. Leung, a senior, is in a four-way tie for sixth.
The Rainbow Wahine are in sixth place at 303. UC Riverside leads at 289.
