Free meals will be served to all students at 52 isle schools

    Central Middle School is one of 22 schools that will join a federally subsidized program that provides free meals for a school’s entire student body. An example of Central Middle School’s lunch plate served Tuesday.

Starting next school year, 52 public schools will serve free breakfast and lunch to all 25,000 children in their schools, regardless of a family’s ability to pay, as the Department of Education expands its free-meals program to benefit more low-income communities. Read more
