Police want help in finding a man in his 40s who robbed the American Savings Bank’s Waianae branch.
Police said the man entered the bank about 11:07 a.m. Wednesday and handed a demand note to a teller. He mentioned a weapon but did not display one, police said.
He fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said.
The bank is at 86-120 Farrington Highway.
The robber is described as between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with short dark hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue denim shorts, a black baseball cap, shoes and sunglasses. He also has a tattoo on his right arm.

Man charged with assault and burglary
A 34-year-old man has been charged with assaulting a 22-year-old woman in McCully.
William Choi was charged Tuesday with two counts of abuse of a family or household member and one count of first-degree burglary. His bail is set at $100,000.
Shortly after 10:05 a.m. Monday, police said, Choi entered the victim’s home and choked her. Police said Choi fled but was found that afternoon on Pau Street.
In July 2010, a judge sentenced Choi to concurrent 10-year prison terms for four counts of kidnapping and concurrent five-year prison terms for four counts of first-degree terroristic threatening.
Teenager hurt in leap from moving truck
Emergency Medical Services transported a 16-year-old Kaneohe boy to a hospital after he struck his head on the roadway while trying to retrieve his hat in Kaneohe.
About 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, police said the teen was seated in the bed of a pickup truck traveling eastbound on Keana Road when his hat flew off his head and landed on the roadway.
When the 16-year-old boy jumped out of the moving truck in an attempt to retrieve it, he lost his footing and struck his head and back on the roadway.
Paramedics treated the victim’s injuries and transported him to a hospital in critical condition.
Speed and alcohol were not involved.
Police are continuing their investigation.
Bicyclist in serious condition after crash
Emergency Medical Services transported a 57-year-old man to a hospital after he struck a car while riding his bicycle in Kaimuki.
About 8:24 a.m. Tuesday, the bicyclist was traveling downhill on 4th Avenue when a car pulled out in front of him. EMS spokeswoman Shayne Enright said the bicyclist struck the vehicle and fell to the ground.
The 57-year-old man sustained a fracture to his left leg as well as bruises and abrasions to his head and face.
Enright said he wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Paramedics treated the bicyclist for his injuries and transported him to a hospital in serious condition.
