He has extensive and diverse operational expertise in the tourism and hospitality industry, including serving as general manager of Aston Hotels and Resorts Hawaii’s The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach in Lahaina, and as managing director of Human Hospitality Advisors.

>> The National Executive Board of the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance has announced that Alvina Yeh is the organization’s new executive director. Yeh has been an APALA member at the Washington, D.C., chapter for eight years and was previously a chapter leader.

>> Island Pacific — Realtors has announced that Denise L. Miyahira has joined the firm. She has numerous years of experience in residential and investment real estate. Miyahira also was the Certified Residential Specialist president in 2013 and CRS of the Year in 2014.
