New mac-nut flavors rock tradition

Hawaii’s macadamia nuts have gone way beyond salted or chocolate-covered, and now Mauna Loa brand has launched flavors that old- timers likely never would have predicted: honey Sriracha and mango chipotle.

The first is sweet and spicy, while the second is fruity and smoky.

The new flavors are being sold exclusively in Hawaii and are being launched with a promotion for kamaaina — a chance to win a trip for two to the two-day iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

Submit entries via the Mauna Loa Facebook page, via the website www.maunaloa.com/crunch or in person at one of four “Crunch to a Different Beat” promotional events listed on the website.
