Firefighters extinguished a fire early Thursday morning that destroyed a home in Laie.
Shortly before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, 35 firefighters responded to the fire at a single-story home at 56-743 Kamehameha Highway. When the first unit arrived, firefighters saw the house engulfed in flames, said Honolulu Fire Capt. David Jenkins.
Firefighters brought the fire under control by 11:59 p.m. and extinguished it by 12:55 a.m. Thursday.
4 males arrested in Mililani robbery case
Police arrested four male suspects Thursday after they allegedly robbed a convenience store in Mililani Mauka.
The suspects entered the store at a gas station on Ukuwai Street around 2:30 a.m. and demanded money while one of the suspects brandished a rifle at an employee, police said.
Man arrested in Kapolei assault case
Police arrested an 18-year-old man after he allegedly assaulted four people in Kapolei.
Police said the suspect assaulted a 19-year-old man, 18-year-old woman and two other women, both 22, at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The victims were assaulted inside and outside of their vehicles at the intersection of Kamaaha Avenue and Kualakai Street.
The suspect left the scene before police arrived.
At about 6:15 p.m., police said, the 18-year-old man turned himself in at the Kapolei Police Station, where he was arrested on suspicion of two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of first-degree unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.
