Piero Resta’s “Rain Brings Life” (acrylic on canvas, 2008) was a turning point for the artist into abstract expressionism. At far left is a re-creation of his villa in Kaupo. On the back wall is “Epica” (acrylic on canvas, 2011), inspired by Ulysses, hero of Homer’s “The Odyssey.” The 10-by-20-foot mural has never been displayed before.
