Police arrested a 26-year-old man Sunday after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 24-year-old woman at Schofield Barracks.
Police said the assault occurred shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday. Police said the victim reported the suspect, who is known to her, allegedly struck her with an unspecified “dangerous instrument” before he sexually assaulted her.
The assault was reported to military police and Honolulu police.
Honolulu police arrested the 26-year-old man on Davis Street on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault, seconddegree assault, kidnapping and abuse of a family or household member.
Man sleeping in car arrested over a gun
Police arrested a 33-year-old man on Monday morning for alleged firearms and other violations after he was found sleeping in a vehicle in Waianae.
Officers found the man asleep in a vehicle on the roadway shortly after 6 a.m.
Subsequent checks found that the man was the subject of a warrant and was in possession of a firearm.
He was arrested on suspicion of keeping a firearm and ammunition in an illegal place, being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of ammunition, parking in an intersection, having an expired vehicle tax, expired vehicle registration, driving without a license and having no vehicle insurance.
