Servco Pacific Inc. is expanding its business in Australia.
The Hawaii-based automotive dealer said Tuesday that it purchased four dealerships in Melbourne, bringing its total dealership count in Australia to 16.
Founded in 1919, Servco is the distributor of Toyota, Lexus and Subaru vehicles in Hawaii. The company owns Toyota, Lexus, Subaru, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge automotive dealerships in Hawaii and Australia. The company has 11 dealership locations in Hawaii and five service and parts centers, employing more than 1,500 in the state.
Servco said its subsidiary, Servco Australia, finalized the purchase of Melbourne City Toyota, Melbourne City Lexus, South Melbourne Toyota and South Melbourne KIA.
The four dealerships have combined Toyota, Lexus and KIA unit sales of 300 new and 150 used vehicles a month. Servco said the new locations are in an area that includes the Melbourne Central Business District and surrounding suburbs.
“The addition of Melbourne City Toyota & Lexus is a nice complement to our existing Camberwell Toyota dealership which is in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne,” said Nick Pappas, managing director of Servco Australia, in a prepared statement.
