A second drive-thru Dunkin’ Donuts shop in Hawaii is set to open in the fall.
Aloha Petroleum Ltd. said Thursday the 2,400-square-foot store will be part of the Kapolei Commons shopping center at 4460 Kapolei Parkway in a new building that is under construction near Down to Earth. The property represents the second Dunkin’ Donuts that will open in the state under Aloha Petroleum’s store development agreement. The first was on Paiea Street near Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.
Matson ups dividend by 1 cent a share
Matson Inc., the state’s largest ocean shipper, said Friday it was increasing its quarterly dividend by 1 cent, or 5.3 percent, to 20 cents a share. It will be payable Sept. 7 to all shareholders of record as of the close of business Aug. 3. The new dividend represents an annualized yield of 2.7 percent.
Shares of the company rose 30 cents to $29.83 Thursday.
Consumer protection fair set for Saturday
A consumer protection fair will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Windward Mall center court as part of the Month of the Military Consumer, a joint initiative among state, federal and nonprofit agencies to empower active and retired service members, military families, veterans and civilians in the community.
The event is being hosted by the state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
To assist in consumer education for the military and their families, a Military Consumer Fraud Guide is now available at cca.hawaii.gov/MilitaryConsumer.
Kincaid’s restaurant auctions off inventory
Inventory from Kincaid’s Honolulu restaurant, which closed last month at Ward Warehouse, is being auctioned off.
Oahu Auctions is opening the restaurant’s doors to the public for inspections from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The weeklong online auction ends at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Pictures of all inventory items can be seen online at oahu auctions.com, and the public can visit Kincaid’s Restaurant to get a close look before bidding. The inventory ranges from koa and granite tables to chandeliers, light fixtures, window shades, dishware, cookware, a full range of commercial kitchen and food service equipment, and island-themed artwork and memorabilia. Since the space will shortly undergo demolition, unique architectural elements such as nautical brass railings and ceiling accents also will be included in the auction.
