Hotel on Kauai prepares for $5M renovation
Castle Resorts & Hotels said Thursday it will begin a $5 million renovation of the Mokihana, an 80-room boutique hotel in Kapaa, Kauai, with oceanfront and ocean-view guest rooms. The renovation, which will include both interior and exterior work, will be conducted in phases and is expected to be completed by February. The property will remain open.
“It is a gem of a property with its direct oceanfront location, expansive lawn and pool, and one of the island’s most popular restaurants — The Bull Shed,” Castle Resorts & Hotels President and Chief Operating Officer Alan Mattson said.
As part of the renovation, all of the guest rooms will be redesigned in a rustic chic theme.
