Former two-division world champion Brian Viloria will return to the boxing ring Sept. 9 on the undercard of a K2 Promotions event at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.
Viloria, who won titles at flyweight and light flyweight, will compete in an eight-round fight at bantamweight against an opponent to be determined.
HBO is televising the main card featuring a super flyweight title fight between Wisaksil Wangek and Roman Gonzalez, who defeated Viloria by TKO in October 2015.
Viloria (37-5, 22 KOs) took 17 months off before winning a unanimous decision against Ruben Montoya in March.
Viloria’s fight will not be televised.
