The proprietors of Kalapawai Market in Kailua are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two men who robbed the store at gunpoint Sunday evening.
Security video shows the two men entering the store on South Kalaheo Avenue wearing masks, gloves and hoodies.
One of the men points a gun at a female cashier as they make their way behind the counter. Another segment of video shows the men handing off the gun as one of them empties a cash register.
Manager Eric Dobrinski said the men ordered the cashier to sit down and close her eyes while they rifled through an open register, then had her open a second register.
Dobrinski said the one of the men also took a drill from the store and attempted to open a safe.
He said the entire incident took less than two minutes.
“Everybody was OK but shaken up,” Dobrinski said.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police.
