>> Tim Arakawa (Moanalua) of the Mobile BayBears broke up a perfect game with one out in the ninth inning Monday against the Tennessee Smokies. Michael Hermosillo homered two batters later to tie the game at 2, but the Smokies put up the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth.
>> Mark Karaviotis (Maui) was promoted to the Class A Advanced Visalia Rawhide on Wednesday. He made his debut at designated hitter in Thursday’s 9-3 win at Inland Empire, batting second and going 2-for-4 with a walk, scoring twice and driving in two runs.
