The 16th annual Korean Festival, presented by the Hawaii Korean Chamber of Commerce, will take place Friday and Saturday at the Honolulu Hale Civic Grounds. The Korean Festival started in 2002 to mark the centennial of Koreans’ immigration to Hawaii.
On Friday, starting at 5 p.m., K-pop group Fantastie will perform onstage along with South Carnival and Young Han.
On Saturday, K-pop singer Cho Eun, who was featured on the K-drama soundtrack for “Something Happened in Bali,” will perform, along with Rooftop Prince, Phoenix, Queen of Housewives, Fantastie, South Carnival and Young Han. Saturday festivities run from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Korean Festival will also feature all the favorite events of previous years: the kim chee-eating contest, Korean song contest, traditional games, the cultural exhibition, art corner and more. Don’t miss the many Korean food tents and soju sampling.

“Breezy Love”

>> Today, 6:30 p.m.: Shinae jumps in the water to find her mother’s ring. Heedong’s desire to protect Shinae only grows. Hayeon asks Mipoong if she has feelings for Jango. Youngae also asks Mipoong if she has feelings for Jango, and she answers yes.
>> Today, 7:45 p.m.: When Heedong tells Cheongja he wants to marry Shinae, Cheongja tells Shinae to break up with Heedong. Jango sees Mipoong with Sungshik, and Mipoong sees Jango with Hayeon.
“My Sassy Girl”

>> Monday, 7:45 p.m.: The princess shuts her heart to Kyun Woo after finding out he was involved in her mother’s dethronement. They both accept the heart-wrenching separation. Jung Ki-joon discovers Kyun Woo was responsible for bringing evidence from 10 years ago.
>> Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Jung Ki-joon blows up at the appearance of another masked man. Everyone is shocked as the masked man reveals himself. The princess is pleasantly surprised at an unexpected encounter with someone while doing volunteer work at the clinic.
“Into the World Again”

>> Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Hae-sung and Jung-won go down memory lane, back to their high school years. But not all memories are fond ones. Jung-won remembers the pain of seeing her estranged mom living happily with her new family. She remembers Hae-sung was the shoulder to cry on to ease her pain.
>> Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Hae-sung and Jung-won’s relationship is blurred between love and friendship. Hae-sung shows concern over Jung-won’s multiple pill-taking, telling her not to get sick. Jung-won corrects their relationship, saying he should show respect to her since she’s older. Hae-sung scoffs at her remark and walks off with a smile on his face.
“Band of Sisters”

>> Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Kye-hwa gives a moving eulogy at Goon-ja’s funeral. Deul-re appears at the funeral, pledging to everyone that she’ll protect Chairman Goo from evil Kye-hwa. Chairman Goo invites Ki-chan to the house.
>> Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Eun-hyang shows Ah-reum’s photo as she tells Se-kyung that her ex-husband’s infidelity led to her daughter’s death. Se-kyung promises to get rid of Eun-hyang’s ex-husband. Eun-hyang sends a text to Se-kyung, informing her that Hwan-seung and his woman are at a hotel. All hell breaks loose when she arrives to find the other woman.
