Mililani KC advanced to the semifinals of the 12/70 Cal Ripken World Series with a 10-0 victory over Mount Home, Ark., in four innings Monday in Branson, Mo.
Evan “Paa” Elarionoff allowed three hits over three innings and Chyler DeSilva allowed a hit in the fourth.
Elarionoff and DeSilva also homered for Mililani KC. Zecariah Takahashi and DeSilva each drove in three runs.
Mililani KC (3-1) will play today against Troy, N.Y.
Passi, Yamaguchi combine on no-hitter
Moe Passi and Tobi Yamaguchi combined on a four-inning no-hitter as Pearl City KRU beat Crown Point, Ind., 10-0 at the Cal Ripken 10U World Series on Monday in Hammond, Ind.
Both pitchers worked two innings.
Jayden Montero and Kalei Alana each went 2-for-3 with two runs for Pearl City KRU (2-0).
Pearl City KRU will face Willamette Valley, Ore., on Wednesday.
Hilo goes to 2-0 in San Bernardino
Hilo scored 10 runs in the fifth inning to beat St. George, Utah, 14-5 at the Little League Majors (ages 11-12) West Regional on Monday at San Bernardino, Calif.
Kaynan Kaku Jr. drove in four runs and Xaige Lancaster and Joshua Ward homered for Hilo (2-0).
Hilo beat Chandler, Ariz., 2-1 on Sunday.
Hilo will play Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. (2-0) on Thursday.
Galdiano 7 back at U.S. Women’s Amateur
Pearl City’s Mariel Galdiano shot a 2-over-par 74 and is tied for 45th after the first round of the U.S. Women’s Amateur on Monday in Chula Vista, Calif.
Pearl City’s Brittany Fan is tied for 111th at 78 at San Diego Country Club. Wailuku’s Jasmine Cabajar and Kahului’s Kimberlie Miyamoto are tied for 128th at 80.
Haley Moore of Escondido, Calif., and Kristen Gillman of Austin, Texas, share the lead at 67.
The golfers will play two rounds of stroke play and the top 64 will open match play Wednesday.
