Brisk tradewinds have prompted a small-craft advisory for most channels in the Hawaiian Islands.
The advisory is in effect at least through 6 p.m. today for the Kaiwi, Pailolo and Alenuihaha channels and for Maalaea Bay south of Maui, the National Weather Service said. Waters southeast and southwest of Hawaii island also will experience gusty trades.
East to northeast winds of 29 to 35 mph are in the forecast.
