Mililani’s Scott Ichimura shot a 9-over-par 81 and Honolulu’s Carl Ho carded an 82 during the first round of the USGA Senior Amateur on Saturday in Minneapolis.
Ichimura is tied for 126th and Ho is tied for 133rd at the Minikahda Club.
Matthew Sughrue of Arlington, Va., and David Brown of Ligonier, Pa., share the lead at 68.
The golfers will play another round of stroke play and the top 64 will advance to match play, starting Monday.
