The Hawaii soccer team was shut out for the third straight game in a 1-0 loss at Idaho on Friday, its first road game of the season.
UH played in an unfamiliar setting in Moscow — inside the Kibbie Dome and on artificial turf — and was outshot 14-2 in the first half and 20-7 for the game by the Vandals (2-2-1). The Rainbow Wahine (2-3) gave up a header goal by Olivia Baggerly in the 75th minute off a corner kick.
Junior midfielder Raisa Strom-Okimoto led UH with two shot attempts.
The last time the Wahine were blanked for this long a stretch of nonconference play was in 2010, when they went a program-record six consecutive contests without a score.
They continue their three-game road trip Sunday at Gonzaga (3-0-1) of the West Coast Conference at 10:30 a.m.
