Coast Guard divers hone skills ahead of annual inspection

    Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Adam Harris, a member of a joint Coast Guard-Navy dive team deployed on the Coast Guard cutter Healy, held a Coast Guard ensign during a dive in the Arctic on July 29. The team successfully completed the first shipboard Coast Guard dive operations in the Arctic in 11 years.

Coast Guard divers jumped off the pier at Coast Guard Base Honolulu on Wednesday wearing nearly 32-pound steel “hard hats” connected to air lines in training dives to prepare for an annual inspection next week. Read more
