FOCUS ON TAKEAWAY
Have you ever walked up to a wide open fairway only to be met with the shot of your nightmares? Take advantage of this opportunity and focus on your takeaway. There are many times when a golfer tries to get more distance by swinging fast. Well … that is half true. “Low and Slow” during your backswing is key for bombing a drive on what can be an intimidating first shot.
1. Low – Start your swing by taking the clubhead back low to the ground promoting a level shoulder turn.
2. Slow – Be deliberate and take your time with the backswing. This helps get rid of the tension and provides a faster, more solid swing on the way down!
