Running the dive off the option was the preferred option for Roosevelt against Kalaheo on Friday.

Mitchell Camacho rushed 13 times for 196 yards and a touchdown as the Rough Riders (2-3 OIA D-II, 2-3) stampeded the Mustangs (1-3, 1-4) at Kailua.

Roosevelt racked up 365 rushing yards, with most coming on dive plays up the middle.

Camacho finished the first half with 11 rushes for 183 yards and a touchdown.

He scored on a 13-yard run late in the first half to put Roosevelt ahead 22-7. Shastyn Kekahuna rushed for two scores and Myka Kuhahiwa and Nicholas Ogata each had one. Jared Elwin caught a touchdownn pass and Lansen Fung had a 97-yard interception return for a score.

Seth Tina-Soberano threw touchdown passes to Zack Wong and Logan Matsuoka in the first half and Ikaika Holden ran for another touchdown while the defense held on as the Falcons beat host Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma, Wash.
