Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during the Aloha Festivals Waikiki Ho‘olaule‘a, an annual block party, which will close one lane of Kalakaua Avenue starting at 1 p.m. today.

The first makai lane will close at 1 p.m., followed by the second lane closure at 2 p.m., according to festival officials. At 4 p.m. there will be a full closure of Kalakaua Avenue from Seaside to Kealohilani avenues.

The Waikiki Ho‘olaule‘a takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. Roads will reopen at the Honolulu Police Department’s discretion. Visit AlohaFestivals.com.
