Central Pacific Bank’s online banking and mobile banking services were down three to four hours Monday as the result of system maintenance over the weekend, but customers’ available balances were not updated until Thursday, according to a bank spokesman.
“The offline period on Monday was the result of unanticipated issues from a system maintenance upgrade performed over the weekend,” Central Pacific spokesman Wayne Kirihara said Thursday. “After this period of being offline on Monday, we implemented a fix that required us to limit access to posting updates on our customer accounts in real time.”
Kirihara said not all of the bank’s customers were affected.
