The Hawaii Hilo volleyball team had its three-match winning streak snapped Tuesday with a 25-16, 25-19, 25-20 loss to Cal State East Bay in Hayward, Calif.
Siera Green finished with 12 kills and Basia Sauni had 18 assists for the Vulcans (7-8).
Kiki Leuteneker, a Seabury Hall graduate, had seven kills for the Pioneers (12-5).
UH men’s golfers finish last in California
The University of Hawaii men’s golf team finished 16th and last at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, which concluded Tuesday in Fairfax, Calif.
The Rainbow Warriors posted a two-day total of 32-over-par 884 at The Meadow Club. California won the tournament with an 811.
Hawaii’s top golfer was Justin Arcano, who finished tied for 67th at 7-over 220. Cal’s K.K. Limbhasut took medalist honors at 15-under 198. San Diego State senior PJ Samiere, a Punahou graduate, finished fifth at 12 under
