Southwest Airlines’ top priority is on starting up Hawaii service

    Southwest Airlines said getting service started in Hawaii is its top priority before considering interisland routes. Southwest plans to begin selling tickets in Hawaii next year. It will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft and then switch to the Boeing 737 MAX 8.

Southwest Airlines officials say starting service to Hawaii is now their primary focus, interisland flying is being seriously considered and they don’t plan on using red-eye flights from the mainland to the islands. Read more
