A former agent of John Cruz is accused of stealing more than $20,000 in royalty money from the local musician.
An Oahu grand jury returned an indictment Thursday charging Leslie L.C. Truglio, 53, with first-degree theft and using a computer to commit the theft.
Deputy State Attorney General Michelle Puu told state Circuit Judge Colette Garibaldi that Truglio diverted money intended for Cruz’s business account into her personal bank account between June 2013 and August 2015. She asked Garibaldi to set bail at $20,000 because she believes Truglio is a flight risk since she has ties to New York and is employed by someone in New York City.
Garibaldi granted the request.

Burglary suspect taken into custody
CrimeStoppers and police said this week that burglary suspect Nhan Thanh Le had been captured.
Le, 40, was wanted on a $100,000 arrest warrant for two counts of first-degree burglary. Police found and arrested Le at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday in the Kalihi area.
On Tuesday police asked for the public’s help locating Le following two incidents. On Sept. 30 his ex-girlfriend received a video message allegedly from Le that showed him in her residence. On Oct. 2 the victim’s family members found Le hiding in her bedroom closet. He fled before police arrived.
