Hawaii County Department of Water Supply customers can now pay their bills online and over the phone without additional fees.
Debit cards, credit cards, or e-checks are accepted at online at hawaiidws.org, or by calling toll free at 844-216-1994.
There is a $500 limit per transaction for credit and debit card payments, and a $10,000 limit per transaction for e-check payments from U.S. financial institutions.
Customers may still pay their bills by mail, in person, or by automatic bill payment. For more information, contact the Department of Water Supply, Customer Service Branch, at (808) 961-8060.
Lifeguard training will close 4 public swimming pools
Several public swimming pools will be closed Tuesday for lifeguard training, reopening on Wednesday.
The Maui County Department of Parks and Recreation said the following would be closed: Lahaina Aquatics Center at 245 Shaw St.; Coach Soichi Sakamoto Pool at 700 Halia Nakoa St., Wailuku; Kokua Pool at 275 Uhu St., Kahului; and New Wailuku Pool at Pakahi Street, Wailuku.

Sewer work to shut down 1 lane of Kuhio Highway
Maintenance work on the sewer system at the intersection of Kuhio Highway and Haleilio Road will shut down one lane Tuesday.
Work by the Wastewater Management Division will close the outermost northbound lane of Kuhio at the intersection from 10 to 11:30 p.m. Access to Papaloa Road, from Kuhio, also will be closed. Papaloa Road can be accessed from Lanikai Street.
