North Shore native Kalani David advanced at the HIC Pro in Haleiwa on Wednesday with a score of 9.33. It was his first time competing in over a year after sitting out with a heart condition.
Maui’s Billy Kemper also won his second-round heat, advancing to the fourth round with a score of 11.43.
Ole Miss wins Rainbow Wahine Invitational
Mississippi took home the team title after three rounds of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Wednesday at Leilehua Golf Course. The Rebels finished with a three-round score of 3-under-par 861.
Hawaii ended in the middle of the pack with a seventh-place finish out of 12 teams with a 29-over 893. Hawaii Pacific finished eleventh with a 983, while Hawaii Hilo finished in last place.
Memphis’ Sydney Colwill was crowned the individual champion with a 5-under 211. Hawaii’s Tyra Tonkham finished 18th at 6 over.
