The Chaminade men’s soccer squad gave up a goal in the 86th minute to lose its final home match 2-1 to Fresno Pacific on Thursday at the Saint Louis School field.
The Silverswords (3-9-2, 2-8-2 PacWest) took an early lead when senior Makoto Shoji scored in the 13th minute on an assist by Isaiah Kuloloia. The Sunbirds (8-9, 7-5 PacWest) tied the game in the 64th minute when Fellipe Souza converted a penalty kick. Souza gave FPU the lead 22 minutes later when he stole a loose ball and snuck it past goalkeeper Bernd Buescherhoff, who finished with five saves.
Chaminade will conclude its season Saturday at Hawaii Hilo.
