Hawaiian Airlines will unveil two changes today by launching a new meal program in the main cabin for its North American routes and debuting uniforms by Hilo-based designer Sig Zane across its network.
The airline’s new complimentary Pau Hana Cafe offering will consist of a continental breakfast box for brunch and hot sandwich and side for lunch. The meal service will be followed by coffee and dessert.
The updated meal program coincides with the debut of new uniforms for more than 5,000 of Hawaiian’s front-line staff globally. The theme of the new uniforms will be represented by the lehua blossom and ‘ohe kapala (bamboo stamps) through every piece of each work group’s uniform, as applied in different scales and tonalities to prints, linings and woven elements.

Hawaii’s dominant cable TV service provider is doubling its minimum internet speed for Oahu customers.
Spectrum, operated by Charter Communications Inc., announced Thursday the free upgrade to 200 from 100 megabits per second.
The company, which took over Oceanic Cable, also said it is offering a new residential internet service on Oahu with 1 gigabit per second speed. A gigabit is 1,000 megabits. Spectrum plans to offer this service to other parts of Hawaii in coming months.
