First Foundation Inc., which operates its lone Hawaii branch at Waterfront Plaza in Honolulu, is accepting applications for its “Supporting Our Communities” initiative.
The initiative helps charitable organizations increase their capacity for sustainable growth and make an impact in the communities they serve.
First Foundation is seeking applications from nonprofits that are looking for assistance with fundraising, donor cultivation, board building, development of critical policies and protocols, organizational planning, and best practices for cash management and investment policies, procedures and strategies.
To apply, go to firstfoundationinc.com/community/soc. Applications are due by 3 p.m. Jan. 31.
HawTel to expand internet service
Hawaiian Telcom, which launched the state’s first 1 gigabit per second internet service in 2015, said Friday it is offering a limited-time residential customer promotion.
The service, rolled out two years ago on the four major islands, has since expanded by more than 50 percent to more than 140,000 homes and businesses.
