Police arrested a 35-year-old man early Thursday morning for allegedly robbing a 36-year-old man in Waikiki.
Between 2:32 and 2:57 a.m. the suspect allegedly demanded and took money from the other man before hitting him, police said.
Police arrested the suspect at 3:10 a.m. Thursday on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
Woman critical after hit by a car
A 73-year-old woman was critically injured Thursday when she was struck by a vehicle, Emergency Medical Services said.
Police said an SUV was on Dillingham Boulevard when the driver turned left onto Kamehameha Highway and struck the woman, who was in a marked crosswalk. EMS said that the collision occurred at 6:32 p.m.
Paramedics treated the woman and transported her in critical condition by ambulance to a hospital.
Police investigators with the Traffic Division’s Vehicular Homicide Section responded to the incident.
Suspect arrested in threat case
Police arrested a 36-year-old man after he allegedly threatened a 67-year-old woman with an undisclosed dangerous instrument in Wahiawa.
The threat occurred sometime between 10 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 a.m. Monday. Police said the suspect and victim are acquaintances.
Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.
The perpetrator then fled in a vehicle. Police said no money was taken.
