Hawaiian Airlines and Jetstar Group launched a new interline partnership on Wednesday that offers travelers from c ities in New Zealand and Japan convenient flight connections to Hawaii and the mainland.
An interline agreement allows an airline to sell another airline’s segments as part of one itinerary.
The move builds upon Hawaiian’s network of flights between Japan and Hawaii and underscores the carrier’s commitment to New Zealand by expanding its reach beyond Auckland to eight additional cities.
Jetstar New Zealand’s domestic flights from Wellington, Christchurch, New Plymouth, Dunedin, Palmerston North, Napier, Nelson and Queenstown will now connect in Auckland with Hawaiian Airlines’ nonstop flights to Honolulu.
In Japan, the interline agreement allows Jetstar customers departing from Fukuoka, Kagoshima, Takamatsu, Okinawa and Kumamoto to connect on Hawaiian’s nonstop flights to Hawaii from Tokyo, Sapporo or Osaka.
