Hawaii junior Femke Aan scored a career-high six goals to lead the sixth-ranked Rainbow Wahine water polo team to a 20-7 win over No. 23 Marist on Sunday at Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
UH sophomore Maartje Keuning scored three of her four goals in the first 3 minutes, 4 seconds of the finale of the season-opening Rainbow Invite. Junior Irene Gonzalez finished with five goals and senior Chloe Barr scored twice. Sophomore Magdalena Mathis and freshmen Carmen Baringo and Ann Inoue added one each.
The Wahine (2-1) will play their next nine matches on the road, starting Feb. 1 at Santa Clara and leading into the ASU Cross Conference Challenge (Feb. 3-4) in Tempe, Ariz.
