Daelenn Tokunaga scored two goals to lift the OIA West champion Pearl City Chargers past the host Konawaena Wildcats 4-1 in the first round of The Queen’s Medical Center/HHSAA Division I Girls Soccer State Championship on Monday.
Tokunaga scored in the first and 69th minutes. Bree Fuller scored in the 49th minute and Soraya Santos added a goal in the 66th minute to help the Chargers (13-1) advance to the quarterfinals against top-seeded Kamehameha on Thursday.
Nanea Wall scored in the 60th minute for the Wildcats (9-4-1), whose season ended.

Brynn Rodrigues’ goal in the 82nd minute sent the Warriors (7-2-2) past the Marauders (10-5) and into a slot in Thursday’s semifinal against No. 2 Mililani.

Kayli Yoshioka scored in the 45th minute and the Cougars (12-3) held on to upend Na Alii (9-5).

Monday’s first-round match between Moanalua and ‘Iolani was postponed because of unplayable field conditions caused by heavy rain. The match will be played today at 3:30 p.m. at ‘Iolani.
