The first-place Hawaii Pacific women’s basketball team earned its 15th consecutive victory on Tuesday, rolling to a 75-36 victory over Hawaii Hilo at Moanalua gym on Tuesday.
The Sharks (19-2, 13-1 PacWest), ranked No. 24 in this week’s NCAA Division II coaches poll, had five players score in double figures, led by Jessi Reeves’ 14 points and 10 rebounds. Danielle Dacosta had 11 points to lead the Vulcans (6-10, 4-9 PacWest).
HPU cruises past Hawaii Hilo
Niksha Federico scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, leading the Hawaii Pacific men’s basketball team to an 88-75 victory over Hawaii Hilo on Tuesday at Moanalua gym.
The Sharks (12-10, 7-7 PacWest) dominated the first half, taking a 44-29 advantage into halftime. The Vulcans (6-14, 5-8 PacWest) lost despite a 31-point effort from Randan Berinobis.
