A 38-year-old man is scheduled to appear today at Honolulu District Court on abuse charges involving a 41-year-old woman in Wahiawa.
Ueta Lauimalae, also known as Veta Lauimale, was charged Tuesday with three counts of felony abuse of a family or household member and one count of first-degree terroristic threatening. His bail is set at $500,000.
At about 2 p.m. Monday, police said, a suspect later identified as Lauimalae physically abused and threatened the victim with an unspecified dangerous instrument.
Police were called and he was arrested shortly after.
Nanakuli burglary suspect to appear in court
A 40-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court on Tuesday after he allegedly burglarized a 65-year-old woman’s home in Nanakuli.
Ernest S. Akau, also known as Earnest Akau, was charged Tuesday with first-degree burglary. He remains in custody in lieu of $50,000 bail.
The burglary occurred at about 1 p.m. Monday.
Police arrest 3 teenage suspects
Police arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with two robberies in Kapolei.
At about 2:35 a.m. Wednesday, police said, two male suspects, both 19, assaulted a 28-year-old man and wielded an unspecified dangerous instrument. The perpetrators demanded the victim’s property and fled.
Three hours later, police said, one of two culprits involved in the first robbery, along with a 17-year-old boy, allegedly robbed a 22-year-old man who was at a bus stop.
Police arrested all three suspects in Kapolei at about 7:15 a.m. on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
Duo arrested after attempting to rob man
Police arrested two male suspects after they allegedly attempted to rob a man Thursday in the Honolulu area.
At about 4:35 a.m., police said, the suspects brandished an unspecified dangerous instrument at the victim.
Man hospitalized after Ala Moana area stabbing
Paramedics treated and transported a 29-year-old man who was stabbed Thursday afternoon in the Ala Moana area.
Emergency Medical Services said the man was found with an apparent stab wound to the torso from an unknown weapon.
EMS responded at 4:08 p.m. at or near the intersection of Sheridan and South King streets.
Paramedics treated and transported him in serious condition to a hospital. Two other men, ages 21 and 34, received minor injuries and also were taken to a hospital.
