>> Cole Cabrera, Punahou ’17: The Cal Poly freshman designated hitter went 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, three runs scored and an RBI to help the Mustangs finish the Tony Gwynn Legacy tournament with an 8-1 victory over Michigan on Sunday.
>> Jacob Maekawa, Mid-Pacific ’16: The San Diego State sophomore second baseman went 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and an RBI to help the Aztecs beat Michigan 4-3 on Monday to wrap up a season-opening eight-game homestand at 6-2.
>> Mason Quinlan, Kamehameha ’16: The Puget Sound sophomore first baseman started all four games for the Loggers over the weekend and finished 8-for-21 with a double, a walk, five runs scored and two RBIs to help UPS finish 4-0 in Claremont, Calif.
>> Cal Muramaru, Mid-Pacific ’14: The Puget Sound senior center fielder started two games over the weekend and hit .600 (6-for-10) with six runs scored and a stolen base.
>> Dylan Salcedo, Kamehameha ’17: The Puget Sound freshman started twice at catcher and was 2-for-8 with two walks and four RBIs.
>> Jordan Hirae, Kamehameha-Hawaii ’14: The Puget Sound senior infielder played in three games over the weekend and finished 3-for-9 with two walks, a double, three RBIs and five runs scored.
>> Makoa Mau, Kamehameha ’16: The Puget Sound sophomore left-hander earned the win in a 14-6 victory over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday, allowing four earned runs on five hits in five innings with one walk and five strikeouts.
>> Andrew Matsueda, Punahou ’17: The Puget Sound freshman right-hander earned a three-inning save in a 9-3 victory over Bates on Saturday, allowing just one hit and no runs with no walks and two strikeouts.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
>> Casey Poe, Kamehameha-Hawaii ’14: The Whitman (Wash.) senior point guard scored a game-high 16 points on 8-for-18 shooting with four rebounds, one assist, a steal and no turnovers in 32 minutes of a 55-52 loss to Willamette (Ore.) in the semifinals of the Northwest Conference tournament on Thursday. The Blues earned an at-large berth to the NCAA tournament and will play East Texas Baptist in the first round on Friday in Dallas.
>> Maegen Martin, Maryknoll ’15: The Whitman (Wash.) junior was held to two points, four rebounds and two assists in 14 minutes off the bench against the Bearcats.
MEN’S GOLF
>> PJ Samiere, Punahou ’14: The San Diego State senior had two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey in a round of 2-over 74 on Tuesday to finish in 11th place in the Southwestern Invitational in Westlake Village, Calif. Samiere had shot even par in his first two rounds.
>> Kyosuke Hara, Moanalua ’16: The Oregon State sophomore shot a 1-under 71 in the final round of the Southwestern Invitational to move up 13 spots and finish in a tie for 18th place at 6 over.
>> Shawn Lu, Moanalua ’16: The Oregon State sophomore closed with a 2-under 70 to move up 19 spots into a tie for 24th place at 8 over in the Southwestern Invitational.
WOMEN’S GOLF
>> Allisen Corpuz, Punahou ’16: The Southern California sophomore closed with a 2-over 74 after a birdie on hole No. 18 to finish in a tie for fourth place at 7 over in the Bruin Wave Invitational in San Luis Obispo, Calif., on Tuesday. Corpuz opened with a 73 and a 77 in the first two rounds.
>> Mariel Galdiano, Punahou ’16: The UCLA freshman tied Corpuz in fourth place at 7 over in the Bruin Wave Invitational after shooting a 5-over 77 in the final round. Galdiano had the lowest second-round score of any golfer in the field after shooting a 2-under 70 to get into contention.
>> Brittany Fan, Kamehameha ’14: The Colorado senior finished in a tie for 18th place at 14 over in the Bruin Wave Invitational after shooting rounds of 75, 77 and 78.
WOMEN’S GYMNASTICS
>> Maela Lazaro, Moanalua ’16: The Oregon State sophomore scored a 9.85 on the beam in the Beavers’ loss to UCLA on Sunday.
>> Chloe Camello, Sacred Hearts ’17: The Air Force freshman scored a 9.625 on the vault to help the Falcons finish second in a tri-meet on Saturday against New Hampshire and Temple.
SOFTBALL
>> Kamalani Dung, Kamehameha ’15: The California right-hander improved to 7-0 with two wins over the weekend for the Golden Bears (15-1) at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. Dung allowed three runs on six hits with three walks and eight strikeouts in five innings of a 4-3 victory over North Carolina on Friday and threw a four-hit shutout in five innings with one walk and four strikeouts in an 8-0 victory over Cal State Northridge on Saturday. No. 15 Cal plays its next five games in Hawaii, beginning with UH tonight at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
>> Jocelyn Alo, Campbell ’17: The Oklahoma freshman started the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic on Thursday with two home runs in a 7-2 win over Arizona State. Alo added a home run and a double in a 10-0 win over Brigham Young on Friday.
>> Ateisha Norton, Kamehameha ’14: The Lewis & Clark senior outfielder hit .500 (7-for-14) with two doubles, three runs scored, two RBIs and a stolen base in a four-game series split against Pacific Lutheran over the weekend.
>> Paige Salavea, University ’14: The Lewis & Clark senior first baseman finished 4-for-13 with a double, three walks, three runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base against the Lutes.
>> Kawai Scanlan, ‘Iolani ’17: The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps freshman center fielder had four hits in an 11-1 win over Chapman (Calif.) on Saturday and finished the doubleheader 5-for-8 with a triple, three runs and two RBIs in a split against the Panthers.
MEN’S SWIMMING
>> Ryan Stack, Kamehameha ’14: The Wisconsin senior finished seventh in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1 minute, 35.52 seconds at the Big Ten Championships over the weekend. Stack also placed 11th in the 100 freestyle (43.27) and 24th in the 50 freestyle (20.18) and competed in four relays. He helped the Badgers finish fourth in the 800 freestyle relay (6:20.75) and sixth in the 400 medley relay (3:10.52), 200 freestyle relay (1:18.25) and 400 freestyle relay (2:54.18).
>> MJ Mao, Maryknoll ’17: The Wisconsin freshman, who swam with Stack on the 400 medley relay team, also helped the Badgers’ 200 medley relay team finish eighth in 1:26.40 at the Big Ten Championships. Mao individually placed 11th in the 100 breaststroke (53.29) and 16th in both the 100 butterfly (47.19) and 200 breaststroke (1:59.69).
>> DJ Hwang, Kalani ’17: The Northwestern freshman finished in 16th place with a time of 15:16.73 in the men’s 1,650-yard freestyle race at the Big Ten Championships.
WOMEN’S SWIMMING
>> Aimee Iwamoto, Moanalua ’16: The Idaho sophomore placed ninth in the 200 breaststroke (2:19.57) and tied for ninth in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.96) at the WAC Championships over the weekend. She also finished 18th in the 200 individual medley (2:07.28).

>> Kawika Lam, Punahou ’15: The Washington junior won 6-4 at No. 1 doubles in the Huskies’ 7-0 shutout of Seattle on Saturday.
>> Riley Inn, ‘Iolani ’15: The Puget Sound junior scored the Loggers’ only win in an 8-1 loss to Pacific Lutheran on Friday, winning a three-set tiebreaker at No. 2 singles. Inn won in straight sets at No. 2 singles in a 6-3 loss to Willamette (Ore.) on Sunday.
>> Jayce Akagi-Okuma, Mililani ’17: The Trinity (Texas) freshman won in straight sets at No. 4 singles for the Tigers’ only point in an 8-1 loss to No. 11 Redlands (Calif.) at the ITA Indoor National Championships on Saturday. Akagi-Okuma won at No. 2 doubles in a 5-2 loss to No. 10 Carnegie Mellon on Sunday.

>> Alyssa Tobita, Mililani ’14: The Oregon senior split matches at No. 1 singles and went 2-0 at No. 1 doubles to help the Ducks beat both Baylor and Idaho over the weekend.
>> Lani-Rae Green, Waimea ’14: The UC Davis senior won in three sets at No. 2 singles to help the Aggies defeat Cal Poly 4-3 on Saturday.
>> Kayla Manz, Sacred Hearts ’17: The UC Santa Cruz freshman won in straight sets at No. 3 singles to earn a point for the Banana Slugs in a 6-3 loss to Dominican (Calif.) on Saturday.
