Sharon and Jim Baker of Kailua took a cruise from Rio de Janeiro to Buenos Aires and found two Hawaiian tiles — Hawaii and Aloha Hula — in the Selaron Stairs (Escadaria Selaron) in the Lapa neighborhood of Rio. Chilean artist Jorge Selaron spent 20 years covering 200 stairs with more than 2,000 pieces of colorful tile, mirror and ceramics from 60 countries.
