American University junior Josh Terao is one of two Eagles to earn a seeded position at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships beginning Thursday at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
Terao, a 2014 Mid-Pacific alumnus, is the 12th seed at 133 pounds in his second consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament.
Terao is 29-8 this season and advanced to the semifinals of the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association Championships two weekends ago.
Last season, Terao finished second at the EIWA Championships to qualify for NCAAs at 125 pounds, where he finished 1-2.
He is one victory away from his 80th collegiate win.
Iowa State senior Dane Pestano, a 2013 Kamehameha alumnus, finished sixth at 184 pounds at the Big 12 Championships two weeks ago and did not receive an at-large berth to the NCAA tournament.

>> Tyler Yamaguchi, Mid-Pacific ’15: The Northern Colorado junior shortstop went 6-for-15 with a walk, a double, five runs scored, four RBIs and two stolen bases in a four-game sweep of South Dakota State over the weekend.
>> Corey Nakakura,‘Iolani ’15: The Northern Colorado junior right-hander struck out one in a perfect ninth inning to earn the win in a 3-2 victory over South Dakota State on Friday.
>> Keenan Lum, Kamehameha ’14: The Northern Colorado senior left-hander struck out seven in five innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits and four walks and didn’t factor into the decision in a 5-4 win over South Dakota State on Saturday.
>> Pikai Winchester, ‘Iolani ‘15: The Grand Canyon designated hitter finished 6-for-11 with a walk, three runs scored and four RBIs in a three-game sweep of Penn State over the weekend.
>> Alfred Souza IV, Kamehameha ’14: The Simpson (Calif.) right-hander picked up two saves in a sweep of Providence Christian over the weekend. Souza walked one and struck out one in the ninth inning of a 4-1 win over Friday and struck out one of the three batters he faced in a perfect ninth inning of a 3-1 win on Saturday.

>> Celina Pagan, Sacred Hearts ’14: The Menlo (Calif.) College senior guard finished with nine points, three rebounds and three steals in a 68-65 loss to The Master’s University in the opening game of the Golden State Athletic Conference tournament on March 2 to end the season. Pagan was named to the All-GSAC team this year and led the Oaks averaging 15.8 points per game.
>> Alexis Delovio, Maryknoll ’16: The Menlo (Calif.) College sophomore guard finished with 16 points, two assists, two rebounds and a block against The Master’s University.

>> PJ Samiere, Punahou ’14: The San Diego State senior closed the Lamkin Grips SD Classic on Tuesday with a 2-over 74 to finish in a tie for sixth place at 6-under 210 in Chula Vista, Calif. Samiere fell just short of his third top-five finish of the season but managed a fourth top-10 of his senior season.
>> Donny Hopoi, Kamehameha ’14: The Boise State senior ended the Bandon Dunes Championships on Tuesday with a second consecutive 1-over 72 to finish in a tie for 26th place at 2 over in Bandon, Ore.
>> Tyler Munetake, Baldwin ’15: The Gonzaga junior shot a 2-under 69 in the second round of the Bandon Dunes Championships before closing with a 76 to finish in a tie for 37th place at 5 over.
>> Jun Ho Won, Moanalua ’17: The Boise State freshman closed with his best round — a 1-under 70 — to finish the Bandon Dunes Championships in a tie for 57th place at 8 over.

>> Rose Huang, ‘Iolani ’15: The Brigham Young junior closed with an even-par 72 to finish at even par for the tournament in a tie for fifth place at the BYU at Entrada Classic that ended Tuesday in St. George, Utah. Hung helped the Cougars win the tournament by two strokes over Kent State with a 15-foot birdie putt on 17.
>> Mari Nishiura, Mililani ’16: The Oregon State sophomore ended with a 4-over 76 to finish in a tie for 37th place at 14 over at the BYU at Entrada Classic.
>> Kristin Le, Punahou ’14: The Santa Clara senior opened with a 1-over 73 before finishing in a tie for 43rd place at 15 over at the BYU at Entrada Classic.
>> Chloe Wong, ‘Iolani ’16: The Santa Clara sophomore finished the BYU at Entrada Classic in a tie for 52nd place at 18 over.
>> Isabella Lesa, Moanalua ’15: The Utah Valley sophomore improved each round by two strokes, closing with a 4-over 76 to finish tied with Wong at 18 over at the BYU at Entrada Classic.

>> Chloe Camello,Sacred Hearts ’17: The Air Force freshman scored a 9.725 on the vault, her second-best score of the season, in a fourth-place finish Friday in a quad meet against Arizona, North Carolina and San Jose State.
>> Maela Lazaro, Moanalua ’16: The Oregon State sophomore finished in second place with a score of 9.875 on the balance beam in a win over Michigan State on Saturday.
SOFTBALL
>> Jade Yadao-Valdez,Mililani ’14: The UNLV senior third baseman finished 7-for-13 with four runs scored, five stolen bases and an RBI in four games to help the Rebels finish 3-1 in the Rebel Classic on Friday and Saturday. Yadao-Valdez closed the tournament going 4-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs scored in a 9-1 win over Portland State as UNLV moved to 17-7 overall entering Mountain West Conference play on Friday against New Mexico.
>> Skylynne Ellazar,Baldwin ‘14: The Maryland second baseman finished 6-for-14 with two walks, two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI to help the Terps finish 1-4 in the Maryland Invitational over the weekend. Maryland will play its next five games in the Bank of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Classic beginning Friday and ending Sunday with a game against UH.
>> Rachel Ogasawara, Mililani ’15: The Washington junior catcher started two of the Huskies’ four games over the weekend and went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI as No. 1 Washington improved to 27-0 this season.
>> Ateisha Norton, Kamehameha ’14: The Lewis & Clark right fielder finished 5-for-11 with three walks, two homers, seven runs scored, four RBIs and three stolen bases in a four-game split against Willamette (Ore.) over the weekend.

>> Ashley Ishimura, Punahou ’15: The Creighton senior won in straight sets at No. 1 singles in a 6-1 win over Niagara on Wednesday and a 7-0 victory over Hampton on Thursday to stretch the Bluejays’ winning streak to five matches.
