A six-run seventh inning paved the way for a 12-6 Hawaii Pacific baseball victory on Sunday over Dixie State in St. George, Utah.
Christian Kapeliela went 4-for-6, including a double, and drove in two runs, while teammate Codi Santana recorded two hits and had three RBIs.
Hawaii Pacific (12-11, 6-9 Pacific West Conference) continues its road trip with a four-game series at Fresno Pacific, beginning Thursday.
Vulcans softball falls at TOC
Amanda Ramirez pitched a four-hit shutout as Cal State San Bernardino defeated Hawaii Hilo 6-0 on Sunday at the Tournament of Champions in Turlock, Calif.
Hawaii Hilo managed just four hits, two of which were doubles.
The Vulcans wrapped up the TOC with a 9-2 win over Cal State Monterey Bay. Isabelle Mejia homered for UH Hilo (18-10) and Leah Gonzalez earned a complete-game win.

In the opener, the Silverswords led 3-0 after the first inning, but couldn’t maintain the advantage.
Game 2 featured just six hits by Chaminade (9-21), two of which came off the bat of Jackie Najera. Najera extended her hitting streak to 13 games, two away from the school record.
The Silverswords remain on the road for a four-game series against Academy of Art, starting on Tuesday in Brisbane, Calif.
>> Hawaii Pacific played three games on Sunday in the TOC and went 1-2. The Sharks fell 3-2 against Concordia-Portland in eight innings. They went on to beat Cal State East Bay 5-1 and then lost 4-2 against No. 13 Sonoma State.
HPU (11-12) stays on the continent for a doubleheader against Dominican on Tuesday.
